Susanne Brenner joined appunto communications in 2012. In doing so, she expanded her self-employment in the field of communication that she had started in 2006 as a sideline.
Susanne Brenner worked as a communication manager with the Centre of Technology Assessment TA-SWISS for five years, focusing on science communication and public affairs. Before that, she held similar positions at the Paul Klee Center (children‘s museum Creaviva) and at the Swiss Academy of Sciences SCNAT. As deputy division manager at the Swiss Council for Accident Prevention (bfu) she acquired in-depth knowledge in the fields of conceiving and implementing campaigns.
Moreover, Susanne Brenner gained a lot of experience in teaching and transferring knowledge while working at the Basel Historic Museum, the Im Obersteg Collection and within her freelance work at the Museum of fine Arts Berne, at the Kunsthaus Zurich and at the Museum Rietberg in Zurich where she acted as a curator, as a guide and as a course instructor.
After graduating from the teacher training college in Kreuzlingen, Susanne Brenner earned her master of art in History of Art and Communication Science at the University of Zurich. With a post-graduate course in science communication, continuous professional development in journalism, as a facilitator and as a project leader she broadened her theoretical and practical skills in the communication field.
This wide range of experience formed her expertise and strategic skills. She gives practice-oriented advice and she has competence in media relations, writing articles, developing and implementing PR-instruments.
